Real "No Spill" Drink Cups

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Wizaexzde08/TJD7gfViL1I/AAAAAAAAAwQ/Jg8MQuHKoBk/s1600/Border.jpg
So a few weeks ago, I found an awesome product!
My daughter is now 18 months old
and we've tried many different
"no spill" sippy cups.

All of them leaked in some way or other
or were really hard to drink from.
How do you teach a toddler to drink from a cup
that's tricky for many adults?

One day I saw these in the store and
they caught my attention because of how cute they are.

Most sippy cups I've bought are
between $2-$4.
I paid $1.97 a my local Wal-Mart for a
(Located in the juice aisle by Capri Suns, Juice Boxes, etc.)
My little girl liked it so much
she started rocking it like a baby.

My husband didn't want to
pay $1.97 for a drink, even if it was 100% Juice.
But when we realized we were getting
an AMAZING drinking cup that was re-usable?
It's an awesome price!

Why We Love These:
1.     Amazing price! Less than $2!
2.     Dishwasher safe.
3.     Fun and cute options (Minnie Mouse, Pooh Bear, Tigger, etc.)
4.     Easy to drink from! If your child can drink from a bottle, they can drink from these.
5.     Best for Last: THEY DON'T LEAK at all! My child has thrown it, knocked it over, dropped it and not a single drop came out. I was shocked and super excited so I ran back and bought a bunch more.

I just wanted to share this with
all you cute moms, aunts, grandmothers and ladies
out there because I've been so excited
to have finally found something that works!

I hope this helps and would love to hear your comments!

DIY Wipes for Cheap!

Be sure to check out my "Everyone Wins Giveaway!"
- Open until October 6, 2011-

So when I first heard about this,
I thought the lady was nuts!
Who would want to take the time
to make their own baby wipes?

Then I heard how much it cost her
and it really caught my interest.
Most Deal Sites say if you can get
wipes for $.01 to $.02 a wipe,
that's a great deal and stock up.

The math on making your own wipes?
$.005 to $.008 a wipe!
We now spend about $10 a year on wipes!
AWESOME!
Ok, so here's how!

You'll need the following items:
  1. Bounty Paper Towels Mega PLUS Roll - These paper towels are very thick and will not break. Do NOT get thin cheap paper towels or you won't be very happy, trust me! I get mine at Costco for around $17 for 12 rolls, which works great because we can use them for our regular paper towel needs and our wipes. We usually go through 6 rolls a year for wipes.
  2. 2 T. Baby Wash  - Any brand will do, I get the cheap brand from Wal-Mart.
  3. 1 1/2 T. Baby Oil  - Again, any brand is fine. I get the cheap brand from Wal-Mart.
  4. 2 Cups Warm Water
  5. Waterproof Sterilite Container - I got mine from Wal-Mart for about $4. Any waterproof container large enough (3 Liters) will work. Here's one similar from Amazon.
Take your paper towel roll and cut it in half so it looks like a large roll of toilet paper. (Note: If your husband has a thing for knives like mine does, this is a great excuse for him to be able to use them!) Remove the cardboard tube from the center, as shown below. Next, mix your warm water, 2 T. baby wash and 1 1/2 T. baby oil in your waterproof container. Place your cut paper towel roll in the container and put the lid on. Now flip your container upside down for 1 to 2 hours so the warm water and soap can soak all the way through the paper towels. When using the wipes, pull from the center, as shown.

You can also use these to
refill your little wipe containers!
We just pull out about 10 sheets
and fold them accordion style
in the container.
They will pull through the slot just fine!

I'd love to hear your thoughts and questions!
This has saved us so much money
with our little girl.
When we went camping this summer,
everyone was using them because
they work so well for everything!

Thanks for stopping by
and leaving your wonderful comments!
